A Kensington date could begin with an exhibition, wander into a long lunch and end with us deciding we’re in no hurry to say goodbye. I like having something to explore together, especially when it gives us plenty to talk about afterwards.

A little culture and curiosity

The V&A is an appealing starting point for a date with art, fashion or design in mind. We could choose an exhibition that interests us both and leave time for lunch afterwards. You don’t need to be an expert; I rather enjoy discovering what catches someone else’s eye.

For an evening out, a performance at the Royal Albert Hall gives us an occasion to plan around. Music, a beautiful setting and dinner before the show make a tempting invitation.

Lunch without watching the clock

My taste leans towards seafood, Japanese food and something light enough to leave us feeling good afterwards. I enjoy a glamorous restaurant but a relaxed table with excellent food can be just as appealing.

Perhaps we’ll keep the afternoon simple with lunch and a walk through Kensington Gardens, weather permitting. Or we could make time for a drink at The Kensington, where the K Bar offers another possibility for our evening.

An invitation worth dressing for

If you have a reception, celebration or cultural event to attend, I’d be happy to discuss joining you. Share the occasion and dress code so we can plan something that feels comfortable for us both. A little time together before the event is a lovely way to begin.

For a longer date, a beautiful hotel room gives us somewhere to unwind between plans. If a spa afternoon is part of your idea, we can choose a suitable hotel together and check treatment bookings and access beforehand.
